Salsa Night

Last night we had a formal event that we went to, it was at a salsa hall so I wanted to wear a dress that was long and fancy to keep it formal yet playful in color to keep it young and trendy.

Then I remembered I had this dress that I got from Agaci about 3 years ago! I originally bought this dress for my Lingerie/Bachlorette party that my sister hosted for me at the Za Za Hotel in Dallas. I haven't worn it since so it was the perfect opportunity to bust it out again, who says you can't repeat outfits?!! lol I sure do!

I paired the dress up with this GORGEOUS necklace that you can get here!

The rest I kept super simple, I got these little studs from Forever 21 that came in a pack of 2 pairs and love how I can pair them up with just about any outfit! Plus they were under $20! win-win

I matched my daughter in a cute formal dress from Target that I picked up during spring time and loved how the blues matched! I also didn't want to wear heels and be uncomfortable so I opted to wear these flats instead! i bought these from Aldo for my wedding day and have gotten soooo much use out of them! definitely a great buy! so if you don't have a pair like that, Id suggest you to get yourself one because they come in handy!!

Rainy Day in Red

Today is a rainy day here in Dallas, so that means it's the perfect excuse to wear my rainboots 💙

It's my sister's bday today so Peyton and I met her up for brunch 👭

Since its a rainy day, and my hair is curly instead of wasting my time fixing it, i just threw it up in this fun hairdo. 

Of course I had to have my mini me match me! Plus we got this cute leotard last winter and luckily she still fits in it. But I don't think for much longer lol its pretty tight on her.

Favorite Black Rompers

Every girl has to have at least 1 or 2 favorite black pieces, wether they are a black dress or romper! in my case so far mine are the two rompers above! 

The first romper is a fun very casual aztec romper that I can keep very simple. Literally barely any jewelry since it has a cool design on the front. I could pair this up with a fun arm candy (a ton of fun bracelets) but since I was in a hurry today, I didn't get the chance to really style it how I would want to. 

To finish off this look I threw on these straggly sandals that I got on sale at Old Navy this summer and my new favorite sunnies from Nordstroms that I also picked up this summer. Added a bold red lip and bam! so easy to style rompers, not much science behind it :)

Cutest Little Coffee Shop

This afternoon I ventured off to Highland Park in Dallas to have a coffee date with my beautiful little sister. At first we were going to walk around the shops and stop by Starbucks but then we decided to try a new spot. This place was called Royal Blue Grocery. It's a little mart with goods and a coffee shop with some delicious pastries and coffee. 

As you can see we are both lovers of sunnies! I got mine at Nordstroms and she got hers here!

Mine were only $12!!

Here's my whole outfit: Top is from American Eagle about a million years ago lol. and the bottoms too but I got those recently, so you have a good chance at scoring them.

shoes are from Nordstroms from around Chritsmas time but lace up flats are totally in right now so you can find them in a lot of department stores :)

From Day to Night

The best part of jewelry is that you can literally take the same outfit you were wearing all day and glam it up to take it to a night time look. I was wearing my striped tee with cutoff jean shorts while I ran errands all day and at night I had a hot date with my hubby.

I didn't have enough time to change before going so I applied a bold lip and threw on a fun yet glam necklace on to finish off my look. 

Makeup: I wore a red lip in the color excessive, my 3D mascara and bronzer. you can get all products I used here!

Mother | Daughter Shoot (18 months old)

Peyton turned 18 months old on July 19th, 2016. So we decided to do a little mommy/daughter/daddy photoshoot with her since we have a nice camera and lens.

Familia + Sunsets Strolls

This evening on our way back home from visiting family who came in town for the weekend, we decided to take a little stroll thru the country which is right behind were we live. 

So much beauty thru these country fields as the sunset is setting!

My husband was able to capture some beautiful shots as we were walking thru! He even caught me while I decided to be playful and climb over a gate into some property (oops) haha

Truthfully then I chickened out, because I felt like I was trespassing! You can say Im more of a goodie goodie and can't bend the rules. lol regardless we got some great shots from todays little adventure.

Aztec Print + Tassel Earrings

What I have noticed that is pretty hot lately, is tassel earrings! I have seen them become more of a trend during this summer, and I must say Im totally in! I love the playfulness of a tassel earring, you don't really need much but the earring as the main accessory for your outfit! (shop for earrings here!)

I paired up these teal tassel earrings with this aztec print romper that I had bought for my honeymoon about 3 years ago from Forever 21. Yes I stick to affordable clothes since I like to buy what's in trend that season and Forever 21 or H&M usually are my go to spots! (You can find a similar romper here!)

Floral Accents + Sunnies

I had posted in an earlier post this same top with a boho chic necklace and cut off shorts! Since today felt a bit cooler to me (and by cooler not 104 degrees) I decided to mix it up and wear my boyfriend jeans and a pretty floral necklace. 

Here's a better picture of the full outfit! I just love how easy this top is to pair with whatever I feel like wearing that day! I got this top for only $20 at Target and it has been the best $20 spent :D
